A new and entertaining social scene is taking shape in Kuala Lumpur to excite the imagination with an unmistakable touch of fun and fantasy!
Every Sunday a fanfare of spectacular colours and attitudes are played out with dramatic costumes and characters at a masquerade party in Shook! at Starhill Gallery.
Here, you will encounter the pomp and pageantry of royal Court Jesters and Sultry Sirens in feathered masks; Medieval Damsels in distress and English Earls with powdered wigs and perchance, a one-eyed Pirate of the Caribbean at your table service in waiting.
It was certainly an experience like none before.

For RM158++, (if youre not going to guzzle on the bubbly), the spread is totally worth your dough. Gelato.
Toffee Apples! Now, this is not something you see at every buffet right!?
A macaron tower may be commonplace.
.but how about a cream puff tower? With the Masquerades logo on chocolate too! Small luxurious touches like this sets the Sunday Masquerades Brunch at Shook! aparts from the rest.
This was divine. Creamy custard in pumpkin. I love pumpkins so I may be biased, but the custard itself was very very good!
Assortment of cakes of which I took a small slice each to sample. Whethers its chocolate, its mousse, or its cheese, all were satisfying first-rate. There were certainly no room for complaints; at least not from me.
Meringues.

Pop your teeth out eating these if you wish!

The above was the cod from the Western menu but there were different selections of mains from Chinese/Japanese/Italian menu as well.
Stir fried clams. from the Chinese menu.
I went for the Lamb Rack, though when it came it didnt look like one.
However, it was not up to my expectations tastewise. I just thought it could have been tastier. Also, a fair warning here, the mains did took quite a while to be served.
But fret not, theres more than enough to distract you from the Sunday Masquerades Brunch!
Heres the rest of the spread!!
