Originally these were supposed to have salt, which tasted weird, so the over sweetness plays much better. Feel free to add more candy to it. The more the merrier.
Caramel Blondies
What you need:
2 sticks butter, at room temperature
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla
2 eggs
2 1/3 cups flour
1 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
pinch of sea salt
3 cups chocolate chips
1 cup butterscotch chips
1 cup chewy caramels, chopped
What you do:
Preheat the oven to 375 and grease a 9 by 13 inch jelly roll pan. In a bowl with an electric mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, cream together the butter and both sugars together. Add the vanilla and eggs, one at a time. In a large bowl off to the side, whisk together the flour, baking soda and sea salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, until just combined. Add the chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, and caramel pieces, stirring until all combined. Spread the batter into the jelly roll pan and bake for 30 minutes.
