TOKYO, 29 Julai To mark the 50th anniversary of the Rolling Stones' band formation, a Japanese distiller is releasing a limited-edition blended whisky in a bottle featuring the group's trademark tongue logo at a price tag of US$6,300 (RM19,914).
The spirit is a blend of six different whiskies that come from a "year of special significance" to the Stones. For example, it will include a Yamazaki single malt whisky from 1962, the year the band was formed.
To mark the anniversary when the tongue and lips logo was finalised, the final product will also be composed of a single malt whisky from 1971.
And to recognise the first time the Stones visited Japan, the whisky will also include a Hakushu malt and Chita grain whiskies from 1990.
Other rock groups which either boast their own wine labels or have been commemorated in liquor include Train, AC/DC and Def Leppard. AFP/Relaxnews
