There are a couple of restaurants my colleagues frequently visit when we're working in Sungai Buloh. The first is LYJ for their Poon Choi, Steam Chicken and Char Siew. The second is Jeff Lee's Kitchen which is opened by the brother of LYJ Restaurant.
Visiting the restaurant for the first time I left my colleagues to do the ordering...
Crispy Roast Duck
The Skin of the Duck was very crispy from the being re-fried before serving. The meat was also very tender but I found the flavor of the Duck to be a little bland
Paku-Pakis
I've never had vegetables served like this in a Malaysian Chinese Restaurant but I thoroughly enjoyed it! The greens were served cold and tasted like a Thai Dish with a balance of sour, sweet and a little heat. I loved the addition of crispy baby fried anchovies which gave a nice crunchy texture and salty flavor.
Signature Steam Fish
The pungent Garlic and Ginger Gravy was very good with the Fresh Water Fish. The Fish was very moist and steamed just right.
Minced Pork Noodles
Another signature of Jeff Lee's Kitchen. The Noodles had a nice stringy texture and was really good with the salty minced pork and pork lard.
I thoroughly enjoyed all the dishes at Jeff Lee's Kitchen and the price was very reasonable. The location might be a little obscure and you might need to endure a few road bumps to get here. But people should definitely give this place a try if you're around the area.
