Update: The latest news is that Monterosso is damaged but not wiped out. I'm sure they will rebuild and Cinque Terre will be even better and more beautiful than ever.

We ate at the restaurant in the yellow building with the red roof on the village square, which is really small, just a triangle of flat land overlooking a cliff. The whole of Cinque Terre is very hilly and is the perfect place for hiking.
