Howd Sephora get its unique name?
Well, the moniker dates back to the very roots of beauty, borrowing from the Biblical name Zipporah (Moses wife, an exceptional beauty) and the ancient Greek term for pretty, sephos (think: Persephone, the gorgeous daughter of the Greek god Zeus). These two words were merged to form a name that has become synonymous with beauty: Sephora.
