Lights sparkle both inside and outside this trendy restaurant, adjacent to Luna Chill Out Bar at the rooftop of Pacific Regency Hotel Suites.

We were privileged to be invited for the first of many more food events to come; the Bubbly Lobster Affair.

It was bubbles all round with Bollinger Special Cuvee Champagne being poured from bottle to glass, and straight down our gullets.

Its definitely the King of non-vintage Champagnes!

You know what they say, those bubbles go straight to your head, and our table with boisterous Terry (Red FM Drive), gadget-teer Walauwei, the sweet and demure Iamthewitch, and my good friends Alicia and Oli, to name a fewwell, we created q! uite a r aucous!

All the flesh had been carefully removed, cooked and daintily placed back in the shell. It was dripping with cheese and cream, and overflowing with mushrooms. Each chunk of flesh was meaty and juicy, just as lobster meat should be.

We showed no shame, threw our manners out the window and asked for the heads, and claws, and body, and whatever else was left of the carcass just to dig and suck out every last out ounce of flesh.

The Thermidor was excellent, but nothing prepared us for this style!

Fragrant and spicy, with a hint of sweetness from the basil, Terry could do nothing but get his hands dirty and devour every last morsel.

Actually, I think we might have held up the dinner with all our barbaric head-sucking!

In this case, the World, which I assume is the lobster, was more than enough. Unfortunately, although very tasty, all the meat was served cold and a little on the tough side from being overcooked.

The fish was also bland, so most of us left our plates untouched and remained happy and content with the taste of lobster still lingering on our lips

DESSERT

Peach Melba

A simple, old-fashioned dessert of peaches and the whitest vanilla ice-cream Ive ever seen! A refreshing way to end the meal. After all, theres always space for ice-cream!

It was truly a fantastic evening, and I must say the entire package; the food, the deco, the view, everything just worked, and made it all that little bit more special. Did I mention the service was excellent?
