HP Ink Advantage Launch 2012 with amazing artwork by artist Red Hong Yi
Printer launches are just another event. Trust me, I attended many.
But HPInk Advantage Launch 2012 was something else. A rather brilliant collaboration with the unconventional yet talented artist Red Hong Yi, HPs latestInk Advantage campaigns messageof Print More, Pay Less and Risk Nothing was delivered across effectively via the astounding artwork by artist Red Hong Yi.
I cant help it. As a digital strategist I like relevant but unconventional marketing concepts and this one actually made me sit up and paid attention during the launch. No doubt the numbers are impressive;ONE (1) ink cartridge that costs RM37 allows printing of up to 1500 pagesbut the message delivery was something else.Red Hong Yi showed how SHE uses thatONE (1)ink cartridge that costsRM37and printed 1500 pages that made up her artwork of93.5m2.
Yes, via feathers, thousands of papers, a HP printer and ONE single cartridge. Behold the massive but really admirable artwork!
<
Rather than just plain marketing, the message got delivered loud and clear. A brief product session tour followed right after but the only thing that stuck to my head was that massive artwork, and the fact that it was possible with a HP printer via scanning and printing and ONE ink cartridge.
For specs, Ill outline them briefly here, together with the prices of course. Prices are most important right?
Enjoy the pictures and if youre seeking a new printer to buy, the HP printers with scan, print and WIFI capabilities are the way to go. According to Martin you will be able to print DIRECTLY from your phone via WIFI and if youre far away from your printer (Im talking hundreds of km away) you will still be able to print via an exclusive assigned email which allows you to connect to your computer remotely and enables printing immediately (* selected models). Isnt that cool or what?

So does anyone here has a HP printer? What are your feedback so far?
And dont you agree that the artwork by Red Hong Yi is simply amazing??
Markets, Not in Living Color
We've been away. Literally and figuratively. It's not been a great 6 weeks. And we've had distractions.
I am digging out and getting caught up and firing up some brand new posts for this here blog. In the meantime, I thought I'd link -- for those of you not following Dave or I on Twitter or EatingAsia on Facebook -- to a series of food photos on Dave's photography blog.
Everyone loves markets, right? We love the hustle, the bustle, the overwhelming colorful beauty of them.
But as Dave shows with this series of photos, markets are gorgeous in black and white too. Maybe even more so, without the distraction of color. Have a look for yourself and see. That shot up top? It's going on our kitchen wall.
If you're hungry for more B&W food images from Asia, check out Dave's Photoshelter gallery, here.
(Worth noting, because it's getting to be that time of year: every image in that B&W gallery and in Dave's other galleries on Photoshelter, and on his blog and on this one, and that you might have seen in stories he's photographed for publications such as the New York Times, Saveur and Australia's SBS Feast, are available for purchase.)

Cooking for Kids: A Cute, Girly Lunch
A great way to get your children to eat everything you put on the plate is to dress up your food a little and make it FUN. Usually after Baby C gets home from school, she would want a snack. She was delighted when she got home and found this waiting for her :)
All good and nutritious for the kids, plus it will put a big smile on their face. This is a great way to get them to eat their greens as well. And she's already asking, when will mummy make this for her again. :)
So why not try this for your child this weekend, for breakfast, brunch or lunch? Am sure they would love it!
A cute, girly lunch
You will need:
2 eggs
3 slices streaky bacon
1 lettuce leaf, sliced
1/3 tomato, sliced thinly
1/3 Japanese cucumber, sliced thinly
Some salt and pepper, to taste
2 tbsp olive oil
1. Place each egg in a ramekin or small bowl and carefully slide into a 20cm frying pan, one at a time. Make sure the egg yolks are aligned (to make the "eyes). Cook over very low heat, until egg white has set. Remove from heat and set aside.
2. Meanwhile, using the same oil over high heat, fry the bacon until crispy.
3. Arrange the lettuce at bottom, followed by the tomato and cucumber slice on top. Reserve a small slice of tomato, forming a "U" shape for the mouth. Place the egg on the plate and then arrange two slices of bacon on the left and right side of the egg and anot! her piec e on the top to form the "hair". Place the reserved tomato slice below the two "eyes" (yolks). Season with some salt and pepper. And there you have it, a simple but delightful girly lunch for your child.

There are pros and cons with every type of diet and the Lemonade Diet is no different in that respect. Below are the positive and negative effects of this diet:
Pros:
Lose a lot of weight in a short period of time
For people who have been advised to get weight off for health reasons or because they have finally had enough of their weight, the Lemonade Diet represents a quick start for their campaign. It is possible to get rid of tens of pounds in thirty days of the Lemonade Diet, and even in the minimum time recommended, which is ten days; participants have reported losses of more than 10lbs.
It delivers what it promises
It is important to note that the Lemonade Diet is not a long term regime, but it does what it says on the tin for short periods and can assist people with a lot to lose get a confidence boost for losing weight effectively. It has been used successfully by a number of celebrities, including Beyonc who famously lost an amazing 22 lbs in 10 days. The fact that it has been around for 50 years suggests the Lemonade Diet has worked for thousands of people, and in fact it follows in the tradition of short periods of fasting and cleansing which has been an accepted health practice in ancient cultures for many thousands of years
Cons:
Lack of calories
Not having the usual number of calories can cause people to initially feel faint and fatigued, and if the Lemonade Diet is continued long term there may be some loss of muscle as the body uses up energy from wherever it can. Eating vastly reduced calories fo! r long p eriods means that when the dieter starts eating normally again they may tend to put on weight much quicker as the body stores calories more easily in case a starvation situation comes up again. This is why proponents of the Lemonade Diet say you should only follow it for short periods.
Loss of healthy bacteria from the gut
Critics of the Lemonade Diet say that the saltwater flush element of the program is detrimental to the health of the digestive system, in that all the good bacteria are washed out of the bowel as well as toxic material. Good bacteria are essential for breaking down food and keeping everything moving on its way, so without it, unwelcome toxins can build up again. For this reason is it important to replace the good bacteria with suitable supplements and a healthy diet after the Lemonade Diet saltwater flushes take place.
Stopping suddenly can cause problems
The advice on the Lemonade Diet is always to start eating food slowly, rather than loading up with large meals as soon as the period of the diet is over. Having a huge meal straight after the Lemonade Diet is likely to cause indigestion and possible nausea or vomiting. So the advice is to take it slowly, introducing small, healthy meals, and follow a balanced diet thereon in. Going back to old ways of too much sugar, fat, salt and chemically processed food will not sit well with a digestive system which has been thoroughly cleansed on the Lemonade Diet.

A simple packet Tofu that's dressed in Soy Sauce and Fried Shallots.
Fried Omelet
Their Omelet was soggy and tasted rather plain.
Cheong Cheng Fish Head
Their signature steam fish head. The Head contained a lot of meat and was steamed just right. Their Sauce had the right balance of sweet, spicy and savory and did not overpower the fish.
Stir-Fried Vegetables
The Steam Fish in Wan Zhen is definitely good. However the rest of the dishes are rather mediocre.
