Panettone Bread Pudding

In honor of the horrible holiday countdown, I have a doozy for New Year's. This did not happen to me but to my best friends and it is pretty funny/sad.

It really only needs one sentence: My friend proposed on the stroke of midnight only to receive a confession that her spouse had been sleeping with another guy.

Whenever you complain about your new year's eve, if it was too drunk or not drunk enough, remember it wasn't as bad as that one.

Panettone Bread Pudding

What you need:
1 loaf Panettone
8 eggs
1 1/2 cups whipping cream
2 1/2 cups milk
1 1/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons almond extract

What you do:
Grease a 13 by 9 by 2 inch baking dish. Cut the panettone into 1 inch cubes. Allow to get stale overnight.

To make the custard, whisk the eggs together. Mix in the whipping cream, milk, sugar and almond extract. Soak the bread cubes in the custard and pour into the baking dish. Allow to sit for 30 minutes then bake it at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
