Killer Brownies



Killer Brownies
Adapted from the Pioneer woman

What you need:
1 box german chocolate cake mix
1 can evaporated milk
1 stick butter, melted
1/2 cup crushed salty pretzels
60 chewy caramel candies, unwrapped

What you do:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, mix together the cake mix, 1/3 cup evaporated milk, the butter and pretzels. The batter needs to be clumped together so press it down into the center of the bowl until it sticks together. Press half of the batter into a greased 9 inch square baking pan and bake for 8 minutes. Meanwhile, heat the caramels and 1/2 cup of evaporated milk in a double boiler until melted. If it is not working, heat the caramel and milk in a microwave on 30 second intervals, stirring in between each until completely smooth. Pour over brownie base. Take the remaining batter and press it into a 9 inch square, place it on top of the caramel, and bake for 25 minutes. After it has baked, chill in the fridge for 3 hours.
